Volunteer Guidelines

Safe & Welcoming
St. John the Baptist School is dedicated to ensuring a culture that is safe, open, welcoming, and protective of all people and especially our children. Volunteers of archdiocesan organizations are required to complete a background check and complete VIRTUS training.
VIRTUS Training
The VIRTUS: Protecting God's Children program enhances child safety in churches and religious organizations by refining their roles and empowering adults. The comprehensive training includes best practices to prevent child sexual abuse by clergy, staff, and volunteers, featuring live sessions, facilitator education, awareness videos, and ongoing online training through the VIRTUS Online system.
Get Started
SJB is fortunate to have a remarkable community of parents and families, and with your participation, we can further enhance this exceptional environment. To begin your volunteering journey, please reach out to Mrs. Jamie Sandona for details about training sessions and our Church and School safety guidelines at jsandona@stjohnbap.org.
